Join us on Tuesday, February 25 at 11 AM in Pickell for a town-hall style debate with Dr. Sandy Alspach, a professor of communication, and sports communication students. With the recent sign stealing scandal involving the Houston Astros major league baseball team, we should reconsider whether “the great American pastime” and other professional sports in the U.S. still represent positive American values. Using “town hall debate” format, participants will be invited to take a side and speak on the proposition: “Cheating in professional sports is un-American.”
We will serve pizza from Jet’s. It is fine to arrive a little late or leave a little early. If you need accommodations to attend, please contact us at honors@ferris.edu or 231-591-2811.
