New Honors Course in the Works!

The Honors Program is pursuing plans to offer an honors section of MUSI 236: Music in Film starting in Spring 2021. The course deals with the background and historical development of music in cinema and is designed to help the student understand the relationship between music soundtracks and the enjoyment of film. It satisfies the cultural enrichment general education requirement.

The instructor, Daniel Cronk, is enthusiastic about teaching honors students. He regularly supervises honors contracts, in which students do an extra project in a non-honors class for honors credit. He encourages honors students enrolled in MUSI 236 in Fall 2020 to talk with him about the option of doing an honors contract in the class.
