The Honors Program is planning for the next five years. We want you to take part.
You may have heard that the University adopted a new strategic plan last year. Now it’s our turn.
A strategic plan sets the overarching direction of an institution or program. In building one, we take a long look at our existing program and practices to determine what is working and what isn’t, and make changes where necessary. We look at similar institutions and similar programs, areas and initiatives we may not have considered before, and our institutional context.
To be successful, a strategic plan needs input and feedback from all corners of the program. We need to look at the good and the bad, the strengths and the weaknesses, the successes and the failures.
I hope to form a committee representing a broad spectrum of our program: students from all levels and colleges, on-campus, commuters and those at remote campuses and consortium programs; faculty, staff and interested others; alumni, community partners, etc. If you care about Honors and want to see it succeed in the next five years, we’d love to have your input.
