Voting Information

Ferris State University’s Political Engagement Project and the Office of Community Engagement encourage you to vote and have provided the following information:

We are only weeks away from the end of the voting period for the 2020 presidential election–voting is happening right now. If you plan to make your voice heard in this election, don’t delay any longer. Even if you’re not registered, you still have time to participate. Your voice matters and your opinion is important. Voting won’t fix everything, but it’s a crucial tool in fighting for the change you want to see in the world. Below are a few important deadlines, with information about how you can take action: 

Register, request a mailed ballot, find your voting location, and more by visiting MICHIGAN.GOV/VOTE

Election Day: November 3, 2020 

Last day to register to vote: October 19, 2020 (online and mail only). 

From October 20, 2020 and through 8pm on Election Day, you MUST visit the city or township clerk’s office where you live and provide proof of residency to register to vote.

Last day to vote early in-person at your clerk’s office: November 2, 2020 

Last day for your city or township clerk to receive your mail-in ballot request:

October 30, 2020 at 5pm (with mail delays, we advise that you request your ballot by October 20th or vote early in-person at your clerk’s office)

Last day for an official mail-in ballot to be returned: November 3, 2020 at 8 pm
