Two Camp Newaygo Service Opportunities in April!

The Honors Program is sponsoring two service projects at Camp Newaygo in April thanks to the initiative of Paige Budnick, an honors student who has organized a series of successful projects there this year. Camp Newaygo is a beautiful and historic camp located in Newaygo on a chain of inland lakes.

The first project is Camp Newaygo’s Spring Service Event on Saturday, April 9. Volunteers will work in groups to help the camp prepare for summer. Transportation, lunch, snacks, and refreshments will be provided. Departure will be at 7:30 AM and return at 5 PM. More details will be provided prior to the event.

The second project is a weekend service retreat to help Camp Newaygo with their Enchanted Forest event on Saturday, April 23 and Sunday, April 24. The Enchanted Forest features tiny fairy and gnome houses on woodland trails. Volunteers will help facilitate concessions, crafts, activities, and more. Transportation, lodging, and meals provided by Camp Newaygo. Departure is on Saturday, April 23 at 8:30 AM and return is on Sunday, April 24 at 6 PM. More details will be provided before the retreat.
