On July 2, 2014, the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) announced the All-American Scholars for Division I, II and III. Honors students Jacqueline Mulder, a senior in the Nursing program, and Kelsey McKinley, a sophomore majoring in Business Administration were chosen for this prestigious honor. Two fellow Ferris students, Ashley Swanson and Emily Rohdy were also chosen to receive this honor.
The criteria used for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most rigorous used in college athletics including a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50. The student athlete also must have competed in at least 66 percent of their team’s regularly-scheduled competitive rounds during the season, demonstrate high moral character and be in good academic standing.
Jacqueline earned this prestigious honor for the fourth consecutive year. She also earned second-team status in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) with Kelsey receiving honorable mention. Ferris placed fourth in the 2014 NCAA East Super Regional in May, narrowly missing the opportunity to advance to the NCAA-II National Championships. This marks the eighth time that Ferris has finished in the top four teams.
