Call for Honors Ambassadors 2015

As many of you probably remember, last year we started a pilot ‘Honors Ambassador’ program where current students called prospective students to talk about the program and what it meant to be an Honors student at Ferris.  Given that the starting class this year is the largest ever—and a 20% increase over the previous year, we consider it a success.

So we’ve decided to continue the ‘Ambassador’ program and expand it a little to include the students who volunteer at Dawg Days, as well as those who help us out during the Invitational in the Spring.

If you are a first year student, and you remember the student who called you last year, think about taking on this ‘Ambassador’ role— it is a great way to support the mission of the Honors program while getting some practical experience.

If you’re interested in promoting the program in any of these ways, we’ll be having an initial training meeting next Thursday, 10/23 from 11-11:50 in BUS 206.  RSVP to Sharon Goss (gosss@ferris.edu), and she’ll get you on the list.  If you can’t make that time, let Sharon know. Once we get a list of students who can’t make Thursday, we’ll get another time schedule that works.
