Join Executive Director of the Center of Latin@ Studies, Jessica Cruz, and Professor Tony Baker for a celebration honoring the life of Cesar Chavez. Born in 1927, Chavez a migrant farm worker himself, helped to fight against discrimination and helped to form the first successful farm workers’ union in the U.S. Chavez was president of the union, (AFL-CIO) until his death in 1993. This Lunch & Learn will be held in the Center for Latin@ Studies, IRC 131 on Tuesday, March 31 @ 11AM.
