Dr. Anderson and Tiffany Shack will be hosting a Lunch and Learn on November 5th entitled, “Data Analytics: What it is and Why it Matters.” During her presentation, Tiffany will explain her involvement with the Data Analytics RSO on campus and Dr. Anderson will explain why data analytics are so important. Below is a short description of her Lunch & Learn.

“Are you curious as to what the terms “Big Data” and “Analytics” might mean? Learn more about the exponential growth of big data and why it matters. This Lunch and Learn opportunity will shed light on what exactly is “data analytics,” the various industries that are adopting the practice, and why it is crucial for all students to understand the importance of data analytics. Dr. Anderson will be presenting this Lunch and Learn; she is a professor for the Business Data Analytics program at Ferris. She also works for SAS, an analytics software company consulting for various companies, most recently, Starbucks.”
