There are many opportunities available to Honors Students at Ferris State – from performing community service with the Big Rapids Women’s Information Service (WISE) to knitting with the Registered Student Organization ‘Crafter’s Anonymous,’ our students engage with their community and take advantage of all that we have to offer.
The Honors Program has funds available to help Honors students finance events such as conferences, retreats, study away trips and national/foreign exchange programs. We take groups of students down to Grand Rapids to see performances at DeVos Hall. We have annual Awards dinners, an Art Show, Formal, Send-Off banquet, Speech Contest and the Variety Show.
In addition, honors students are actively engaged in research on campus, apply for scholarships and post-graduate fellowships, attend conferences and help run the program itself.
As the opportunities for service, leadership and cultural and academic enrichment appear, we’ll post them here!
