Day 1 (May 28, 2014): Lima (D) Arrive in Lima. Meet at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Included welcome dinner. Overnight at Britania Miraflores Hotel
Day 2 (May 29, 2014): Lima Learn for yourself why Lima is known as “The City of Kings” on this tour of the city’s highlights and vast history including; The Plaza de Armas in the heart of old Lima, where you find the Cathedral, Government Palace and Archbishop’s Palace. Overnight at Britania Miraflores Hotel
Day 3 (May 30, 2014): Lima Visit Larco Museum, which houses an equally impressive collection of pottery, jewelry, mummies and textiles from the Paracas and Nazca cultures. We’ll also visit the fish market. Overnight at Britania Miraflores Hotel
Day 4 (May 31, 2014): Cuzco Transfer to the airport and fly to Cuzco. Upon arrival, we check into our comfortable hotel and enjoy a walking tour of this beautiful, historic city. Overnight at Prisma Hotel
Day 5 (June 1, 2014): Cuzco Go on a Cuzco city tour. A great way to learn Cuzco’s twists and turns, highlights and archaeological sites. Your guide will show you all of the best sights and attractions of the continent’s oldest continuously inhabited city, and the hub of the South American travel network. Overnight at Prisma Hotel
Day 6 (June 2, 2014): Cuzco Today we’ll explore the archaeological site of Sacsayhuaman and Koricancha, which now forms the base of the colonial church of Santo Domingo. Overnight at Prisma Hotel
Day 7 (June 3, 2014): Cuzco Today we’ll visit Museus Puca Pucara and Qenko. Overnight at Prisma Hotel
Day 8 (June 4, 2014): Cuzco Free day in Cuczo. Choose from a variety of optional activities today or enjoy the day and relax. Overnight at Prisma Hotel
Day 9-10 (June 5-6, 2014): Sacred Valley / Ollantaytambo Two days of guided excursions through the Sacred Valley, in the Maras, Moray and Pisac areas, using Ollantaytambo as a base. Overnight at Casa de Mama Valle
Day 11-14 (June 7-10, 2014): Inca Trail Embark on a 4-day guided Inca Trail hike with visit to Machu Picchu. It is a 44-km (27 mile) hike, with 3 high passes to be crossed, one of which reaches an elevation of 4200m (13776 ft). On the final day of the hike we climb the steps to the Sun Gate overlooking the peaks that surround Machu Picchu. Optional visit to the Inca Bridge before returning to Cuzco. Overnight at Prisma Hotel
Day 15 (June 11, 2014): Cuzco Go on a Cuzco city tour, including the Archeological Museum, which also houses a small art museum, the Regional History Museum and the Religious Art Museum. Overnight at Prisma Hotel
Day 16-17 (June 12-13, 2014): Caccacollo We visit the Ccaccaccollo Community and the Planeterra sponsored Women’s Weaving Project where we watch demonstrations of ancient weaving techniques and wool dying. Learn about Planeterra and the women’s weaving cooperative and assist with volunteer projects in the area (exact project to be advised closer to departure) Overnight homestay on day 16, in Cuczo at at Prisma Hotel on day 17
Day 18 (June 14, 2014): Lima Transfer to the airport and fly to Lima. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. They rest of the day is free. Overnight at Britania Miraflores Hotel
Day 19 (June 15, 2014): Lima Today we’ll explore the archaeological citadel of Pachacamac and the Archaeological Museum. Overnight at Britania Miraflores Hotel
Day 20 (June 16, 2014): Lima Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
